
Job Announcement: Project Coordinator and Field Assistant Positions at Women’s Affairs Center (WAC)
Women’s Affairs Center (WAC) is an independent and non-profit Palestinian NGO with the purpose of advocating women’s rights and gender equality through Empowering Women, Information and Research, and Advocacy and Outreach programs. In implementing its strategy to fulfill its vision, WAC is guided by international human rights principles, including empowerment and participation; equality and non-discrimination; and accountability to ensure justice and dignity for women

Project Coordinator – Full-Time
Contract Duration: One year (including a 3-month probationary period)
:Key Responsibilities
Lead day-to-day operational management of the project, ensuring alignment with objectives, timeline, and budget-
Supervise and support project staff including field assistants, case managers, and facilitators-
Oversee detailed planning and coordination of activities such as GBV awareness sessions, MHPSS services, legal consultations, and training workshops-
Ensure accurate tracking of progress against indicators through effective monitoring and evaluation practices-
Coordinate with local stakeholders, partner organizations, service providers, and community members to ensure inclusive and community-driven programming-
Ensure accountability to affected populations, including feedback and response mechanisms-
Prepare high-quality reports, success stories, briefing notes, and documentation of lessons learned-
Manage project risks and ensure compliance with organizational and donor policies-
Support proposal development and contribute to the design of future initiatives-
Ensure proper procurement, logistics, and financial oversight with the support of the finance and admin team-
Facilitate coordination with internal departments such as MEAL, Communications, and Finance-

Required Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Project Management, or a related field. Master’s degree is an asset-
Minimum of 4 years of progressive experience in similar roles with NGOs, preferably managing multi-sectoral projects (e.g., GBV, MHPSS, legal aid, and community outreach)-
Proven experience in planning, budgeting, coordination, and reporting for complex humanitarian or development projects-
Solid understanding of Monitoring, Evaluation, Accountability, and Learning (MEAL) systems and M&E principles to support evidence-based programming-
Strong commitment to gender equality, protection principles, and ethical humanitarian standards-
Fluency in English and Arabic (written and spoken)-
Excellent interpersonal, communication, and negotiation skills-
Demonstrated ability to lead teams, manage tasks independently, and work under pressure-
Experience in proposal writing and donor reporting is strongly preferred-

Field Assistant – Full-Time
Contract Duration: One year (including a 3-month probationary period)
:Key Responsibilities
Organize and coordinate project activities, including workshops and facilitation sessions-
Conduct field visits to monitor the implementation of project activities and report accordingly-
Maintain accurate documentation and archiving of all project-related activities-
Support the Project Coordinator with project implementation, monitoring, and daily reporting-
Assist with financial tasks, including collection of invoices, financial statements, and supporting documents-
Keep detailed physical and electronic records of project activities-
Perform other tasks as assigned by the Project Coordinator-
:Required Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree in Human Sciences or related fields-
Minimum of 2 years of experience in a similar role with NGOs, particularly in community-based projects or fieldwork-
Strong commitment to gender equality and ethical standards-
Knowledge of GBV (Gender-Based Violence) and MHPSS (Mental Health and Psychosocial Support) programming is preferred-
Excellent reporting, organizational, and communication skills-
Fluency in Arabic and English (written and spoken)-
Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook) and online tools-
