:Background About Women’s Affairs Center (WAC)
Women’s Affairs Center (WAC) is a women's knowledge-based center playing an innovative and catalytic role in empowering women and advocating women's rights and gender equality in the Palestinian sustainable development process. Its mission reflects that it is an independent and non-profit Palestinian NGO to empowers women and advocates for women’s rights and gender equality through capacity development, information, and innovative research and advocacy programs. While implementing its strategy to fulfill its vision, WAC is guided by international human rights principles including empowerment and participation; equality and non-discrimination; and accountability to ensure justice and dignity for women.
:Purpose
WAC is implementing the (Empowering Displaced Women in Gaza through Entrepreneurial Support 2024) project which is funded by Dan Church Aid/Norwegian Church Aid (DCA/NCA). In order to promote women's economic empowerment by supporting women in managing their existing small businesses in the food production and sewing fields. This project targets 30 displaced women who own existing small businesses in Khan Younis, Deir Al Balah, the Middle area, and Gaza City. These businesses include food production, sewing, and other ventures that address

:Scope of Work
(WAC) seeks to contract a technical advisor to develop and deliver tailored coaching and advisory services to 30 women entrepreneurs to enhance product development skills, improve the quality and competitiveness of their products, strengthen their understanding of market demands and access strategies, provide guidance on marketing, branding, and sales techniques, and assist in identifying new market opportunities and addressing barriers to market entry. The coaching and advisory content must be relevant to the current economic and social context of Gaza.
:Key Responsibilities
The advisor will be responsible for-
Conducting an initial assessment of each entrepreneur's current business status, challenges, and needs-
Developing a customized coaching plan for each participant based on the assessment results-
:Providing two months of one-on-one coaching sessions for each entrepreneur, focusing on
.Product development and enhancement
.Branding and packaging improvements
.Market access strategies
.Sales techniques and customer engagement
.Pricing strategies and financial planning
.Assisting the entrepreneurs in developing actionable business plans or roadmaps to implement the learned strategies-
.Offering support in identifying potential market opportunities and connecting the entrepreneurs to relevant networks or market channels-
.Providing feedback and suggestions for improvement on existing products-
.Conducting follow-up sessions to ensure the effective implementation of the coaching advice-
:Expected Deliverables
:The advisor is expected to deliver the following
.Initial assessment report for each entrepreneur, including identified needs and proposed coaching plan-
.Individual coaching plans tailored to the specific needs of each participant-
.Weekly progress reports detailing the coaching sessions, key activities, and outcomes for each entrepreneur-
Final report summarizing the coaching process, progress made, challenges encountered, and recommendations for future support. Validation of the submitted report from the Project Coordinator is a must
.At least one practical improvement per participant's product or market strategy-
:Timing
A total of 60 coaching hours should be delivered over a period of 2 months. The 60 hours will be conducted one-on-one for 30 entrepreneur women owner of already existing businesses (2 hours for each). The coaching is expected to take place in September and October. The work timeline may be altered by the project WAC team at its discretion. A high commitment should be granted to the timeframe and any change in the timeframe should be discussed, justified and validated by WAC. Any setback occurs affecting on the cycle of the sessions due to the failure of
advisor; WAC reserves the right to terminate the contracts without offering and compensation
